How do I apply for a driving test?

You can apply online at www.direct.gov.uk/motoring , over the phone by calling 08700 101372, or by filling in a form DL26 and TT26 from the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) or from approved driving instructors or driving test centres.

When you have passed your driving test (theory and practical), exchange your pass certificate for a full licence as soon as possible. If you do not do this within two years of passing your test, you will have to pass a further driving test (theory and practical) for that category of vehicle.
