How
can I prepare for the
test?
Hazard perception is a
practical skill and the best way to prepare for this element is via
practical on-road training with a professional instructor. The more
experience you have in a wide variety of traffic scenarios, the
better you will become at scanning and assessing the situation
around you.
A professional trainer will
ensure that the routes you use during your lessons are appropriate
to your level of skill. He or she will initially talk you through
the traffic scene, pointing out any developing hazards and guiding
you with appropriate action. As you become more proficient your
trainer will reduce the amount of guidance offered, and allow you
to independently judge the situation and appropriate
response.
